The more you can tell us up front — frontage, depth if you know it, photographs of the existing structure — the more useful our first reply will be.

Lake George Docks LLC

Serving the full 32 miles of Lake George, including shorelines reachable only by water.

Planning for next season?

Permitting on Lake George commonly takes months, and structural work happens best in the winter drawdown. If you want a new dock or boathouse for next summer, the right time to call is now.

Before you write

Three things that make our first reply more useful

Your frontage

How many feet of shoreline you own determines how many docks you may have and how large they can be. It is the first thing we work out.

A few photographs

From the shore looking out, from the water looking in, and close-ups of anything that worries you. Underwater shots if you have them.

What already exists

Existing dock, crib or boathouse, its rough age, and whether it has been permitted. Pre-existing status can be genuinely valuable.

Or just pick up the phone

Ten minutes on a call usually saves a week of emails — especially if you are trying to work out whether a project is even possible on your shoreline.
